What is the JLPT Japanese Language Proficiency Test?

apanese-Language Proficiency Test、abbreviated as JLPT, It is a certification test for non-native Japanese speakers sponsored by the Japan Association for International Education and the Japan Foundation.
Starting in 2010, the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) was expanded from a four-stage system (N1-N4) to a five-stage system (N1-N5). The test is typically held in early July and December each year. According to 2019 data, approximately 1.17 million people took the test (an all-time high), with approximately 35% passing across all levels. JLPT scores are used for various purposes, including visa priority, employment, salary increases, promotions, and qualification certification.
🌸Studying in Japan🌸
Foreigners who wish to study at a Japanese national university must pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 level. Furthermore, admission to universities and vocational schools generally requires a JLPT level of N2 or higher.
🌸Working visa🌸
Based on the Japan Immigration Bureau's advanced points-based system for calculating visa benefits for highly skilled foreign personnel, those with a Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 certificate or who have majored in Japanese at a foreign university receive 15 points, while those with a JLPT N2 certificate receive 10 points. This system allows individuals who achieve a total score of 70 points or higher, based on their educational background, work experience, annual income, research achievements, etc., and who are proven to be highly skilled foreign human resources personnel, to receive various visa benefits.😍

Japanese Language Proficiency Test Course

I want to use an N1 instructional course as a simple example.
Before the formal class begins, I will send past exam questions to the students so that I can know their current level. Before each subsequent class, I would send students practice questions to complete in advance. Afterward, I would analyze their weaknesses and provide targeted improvement exercises.

🌸By analyzing past exam questions, I update the grammar and vocabulary lists based on statistical data. I also use comparison and summarization exercises to help students reinforce their understanding.🌸

🌸Because the N1 exam contains a lot of written language, I often compile current events into listening materials to help everyone increase their vocabulary and improve their listening skills.🌸
